Woking is an expanding, fast improving commercial centre some 27 miles to the southwest of London. Although it has excellent road communications to the M25 and hence the national motorway network, it is its unrivalled rail connections to London and the southwest that make it such a fantastic commercial location. Over 8 trains an hour (fastest journey time 25 minutes) run direct into London(Waterloo)added to which there is also a rail coach link from Woking station direct to Heathrow.
Woking has seen significant investment in the last 18 to 24 months in the streetscape, infrastructure and environment. The town centre is now a thriving mix of retail, restaurant and leisure facilities, which complement and serve the ever increasing business and residential communities. The new town square and library have transformed the central area, also the pedestrianisation and streetscape improvements to Commercial way and the introduction in 2015 of Bills, Carluccio’s, Côte Brasserie and their like enhance the restaurant offering. This will all be added to in 2017 with the redevelopment of Bandstand Square where a new 60,000 sq ft store for Marks and Spencer will be the cornerstone.
