Wadham & Isherwood have negotiated two lettings for the High Street Alton.
Acting for private investment clients Wadham & Isherwood Farnham have negotiated two lettings in respect of this prime town centre store. The extensive shop which was previously occupied by Boots is arranged on ground, basement and two upper floors providing some 1,430 sq.ft. of ground floor accommodation.
On receiving instructions and following an earlier attempt to let as one unit advice was given that it would be more than likely that the shop would have to be split to generate interest. Following full marketing, interest in the lock up shop and basement adjoining Westbrook Walk was received from Vodafone who have now taken possession and are fitting out.
At the same time a letting was agreed of the adjoining section plus the upper floors to a local firm of Estate Agents who will be relocating to the property.
Wadham & Isherwood provided advice as to the building works required to split the building, coordinating the works and liaising with a local contractor. They also provided a marketing report to accompany the estate agents application for change of use to A2 which proved successful.
A combined rent of £47,000 per annum was achieved and the property will be retained within the clients existing investment portfolio.
