Poundland are due to open their doors during the first week of December.
Wadham & Isherwood acting for local investors Farnham Estates provided extensive advice during their purchase of the freehold interest in this land mark building which they acquired earlier in the year.
Following on from the acquisition and acting jointly with Lunson Mitchenall the freehold interest was sold on to clients of Savills who in turn have let most of the ground floor to Poundland who are aiming to be open by the end of November to take advantage of Christmas trading. A new lease was granted on approximately 5,500 sq.ft. of ground floor accommodation at a record Zone A rental for the town.
It will be interesting to see how Poundland trades following some negative reaction form the local residents.
