Following completion of the delicate negotiations leading onto a sale of the freehold interest to Hedgehunter Farnham Limited with vacant possession which completed in July 2013, a letting has already been agreed of the refurbished shop and basement.
The new tenant is Brissi Limited who currently trade from four London addresses, Kings Road, Chelsea, Marylebone High Street, Westbourne Grove and Battersea.
Brissi who sell a wide range of furniture and home accessorises have been attracted to the town on the basis of the varied retail offer, the affluence of the local community and the proximity of the shop to Lion & Lamb Yard shopping centre.
The letting was agreed prior to formal marketing by Wadham & Isherwood Farnham acting jointly with Orme Retail of London. The formal legal documentation was completed within only a few weeks from the initial inspection. A new effective full repairing and insuring lease has been granted for a term of 10 years with a rent review at the fifth year the rent averaging £41,500 per annum over the first 5 years.
It is intended that the shop will be open for trading mid April.
