Nokia is rumoured to be relocating to Heathrow in a blow for the Blackwater / M3 office market. Nokia is due to announce the location of its UK headquarters next week. It has short-listed four sites, two of which are in Surrey: Velocity in Weybridge, a 100,000 sq ft scheme; and Orion Gate, a six storey 51,000 sq ft building in Woking marketed by Wadham and Isherwood; along with 4 The Square and 5 Longwalk at Stockley Park, west London.
Nokia want to downsize from its 250,000 sq ft Southwood Campus located between Fleet and Farnborough, Hampshire, and begun a search for a 75,000 sq site back in July. The closure of the Southwood Campus is being done in stages and is believed to be completed in December.
