New Businesses put Farnborough in rude Health

POSTED IN General

Farnborough’s economy is thriving and has ‘reached record heights’ with hundreds of new companies being formed during the first half of this year.

Two hundred and twenty four new companies were set up in Farnborough in the first six months of 2012, thiry one more than the same period in 2011 according to company formation agents Duport Associates.

The main reasons for Farnborough’s success is likely to be down to its excellent travel links – the town has its own private business airport, train connections with London and its close proximity to the M3 motorway. Farnborough’s strong connection with aviation and the aircraft industry is also thought to be a major draw to the town.

The rejuvenation of the town centre including the creation of new shops, a cinema and restaurants as well as improvements to the railway station have been praised by Duport as ‘providing for the needs of the community, employees and of local businesses’ and the record number of new companies is testament that this investment is paying off.
