Most active agent in Surrey 2015

For the fourth year running Wadham & Isherwood are proud to announce that they have won the Estates Gazette Deals Competition becoming the most active commercial agent in Surrey.

The Estates Gazette Deals competition is widely recognised as one of the top accolades for commercial agents.

Nick Reeve, Farnham Director comments “As a firm we are delighted to have won this prestigious award once again.  2014/15 has seen business confidence increase significantly with occupiers expanding their headcount and as a result their property requirements.  The Wadham & Isherwood agency team completed a impressive 187 lettings in 2014 equating to an annual rent role of just under £5 million (an increase of £0.5 million on 2013) with sales totalling approximately £20 million from 24 transactions (an increase of £7 million on 2013).  The significant increase in freehold disposals reflects the extremely buoyant investment market and the insatiable demand from residential developers looking to buy up office buildings to convert into residential under permitted development rights”.

We have also seen a considerable increase in take up of space over the last 12 to 18 months and the lack of any new industrial or office development in the area generally, and the loss of office buildings to residential conversion is already having an effect and as a result rents achieved in towns within the A3/M3 corridor have seen quite considerable increases.  This trend we believe is likely to continue throughout 2015 and will percolate throughout the entire South East.

Wadham & Isherwood’s Matthew Seary Associate Director has also been rewarded and recognised as the Surrey Deal Maker of the year having personally concluded the highest number of deals in Surrey – a just reward for his efforts throughout the year.
