The term business as usual springs to mind, as in the perceived uncertainty post Brexit Wadham & Isherwood have negotiated a letting of one of the largest industrial buildings on the Farnham Trading Estate, this being Unit 8B the new tenant being Uvex Safety Limited.
Unit 8B comprises an area of just under 27,000 sq.ft., to include two storey offices at the front, and following a recent lease expiry the owners, Standard Life Investments, carried out a thorough refurbishment programme, which included new air conditioning to the office areas. The unit is located prominently on the Trading Estate, being opposite Sainsburys car park and close to national companies such as Kwik Fit, Howdens Joinery and Jewson.
The new tenants, whose head office is located nearby on the Trading Estate required, as a result of their expanding business, substantially more warehousing to replace their existing 6,000 sq.ft. warehouse on the Grovebell estate in Wrecclesham. The letting involved a new 10 year lease at a rent which equated to approximately £8.75 per sq.ft.
