Investment Pays Dividends at Tanshire Park, Elstead


Owner and operator of Tanshire Park, Tanshire Holdings Ltd, are not only celebrating 30 years of operation this month, but have recently completed a £750,000 modernisation of the business park in Elstead, Surrey.

After Tanshire Park’s largest tenant decided to relocate in 2008, it left 31,000 sq. ft. of vacant space. With the country entering the toughest financial times of recent years, Tanshire Holdings decided to challenge the recession by spending money and investing in the business park to attract new tenants.

The risk paid off with more than eight tenants signing leases in the last 12 months. The four most recent additions include Pelican Buying, an international purchasing business who relocated their head office to Tanshire Park and occupy over 5,000 sq.ft. Goodyear Blackie Herrington LLP, a firm of solicitors specialising in providing legal advice to businesses, organisations and senior executives and GlobalCAD, specialists in developing software for the design industry.

The latest tenant to join the park is the Tanshire Dental Clinic which opens its doors later this month to provide specialist restorative/cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implants and dental ceramics.

Graham Roberts, Chairman of Tanshire Holdings Ltd, comments: “After losing one of our largest tenants it became clear that in the current conditions we needed to adapt the business park from large open spaces to more bespoke smaller offices that would attract medium to small sized companies. As well as re-designing how the spaces work we have undergone a complete internal modernisation of the buildings including new lighting and fittings, to reduce energy consumption, and a high tech electrical heat exchange system that has enabled us to achieve an energy performance certificate level B (previously a D).”
