Hoops Velo bike shop moves to Seven Stars House

Wadham & Isherwood are pleased to announce the conclusion of the development and subsequent sale and letting of Seven Stars House, which is a prominent building with car parking at the eastern fringe of Farnham town centre.

The property was previously the Seven Stars Public House and acting for CR Properties Wadham & Isherwood in 2011 negotiated a purchase of the freehold interest from Enterprise Inns for a price of £350,000, the intention being that CR Properties would carry out a comprehensive development to provide retail space on the ground and residential on the upper floor.

Planning permission was subsequently obtained for an extension of the ground floor to provide in total a retail area of just under 3,000 sq.ft. with the first floor able to be converted into two self contained 2 bedroom flats.

Following completion of the redevelopment earlier this year the shop has been let to East St Cycles t/a Hoops Velo.  The shop being fitted out to a high standard and offering a range of road bikes and associated gear.  Whilst East St Cycles will be continuing to operate from their existing shop in East Street the location of Seven Stars House and its on site parking allows the company to expand and in particular increase the range of bicycles they are able to offer.

The upper floor flats have been sold through local residential agents, Andrew Lodge, thus completing what has proved to be a successful development and restoring what was previously a run down public house.
