Richard Cook Ltd, the Chertsey based property company, has completed the letting of 5,500 sq ft (510 sq m) of office space at its Abbey Mill Business Park in Eashing, near Guildford to Hurricane Exploration Plc.
The oil and gas exploration company has taken a ten year lease at an annual rent equating to £23 per sq ft. The transaction also involved a simultaneous surrender of an existing lease on the property held by Taylor Wimpey.
Henry Cook, of Richard Cook Ltd, says: “Since its construction Abbey Mill Business Park has always been successful in attracting top quality companies and the letting to Hurricane Exploration confirms the scheme’s ability to draw businesses that need modern, high-quality office accommodation in a tranquil yet highly accessible location. Surrounded by water meadows and woodland, it is sometimes easy to forget that the site is less than half a mile from the A3.”
Nick Reeve of joint agent Wadham & Isherwood adds: “The proximity of the A3 and the ease at which occupiers can travel to and from the business park has made it a very popular location. The traditional style of these modern buildings and the picturesque location overlooking the River Wey make it one of the finest campus developments in the area.”
Local occupiers have a chance to acquire space at Abbey Mill Business Park later this year when 3,129 sq ft (290 sq m) of refurbished office space at the first floor of The Mill becomes available for the first time since the buildings were constructed.
