Handelsbanken which was recently rated the second strongest bank in the world by Bloomberg, has taken 1605 sq.ft. of space in the second largest building on the Park – 2 Queen’s Square – to create a new branch in Ascot.
Founded in 1871, Handelsbanken has over 700 branches in 22 countries of which 122 are in the UK. It is a full-service bank but what sets it apart from other high street banks is its decentralised way of working where the local customer takes priority rather than individual products. Last year Handelsbanken gained, for the third year running, the highest level of customer satisfaction amongst British Bank customers according to an independent survey.
Comments Richard Payton, Branch Manager of Ascot, “for us, the branch is the bank. We seek to nurture long term relationships with our customers which has resulted in our growing success,” He continues, “Ascot Business Park gives us the right mix of convenience and quality that we have been searching for to open our new Ascot branch”.
“Adding such a high-profile tenant to our growing list of successful occupiers is a great privilege and accolade for us”, comments Vanessa Durham, Ascot Business Park’s Marketing Manager. “It endorses our own strength in providing a magnificent backdrop for our tenants, reflecting their own on-going success across the board”.
Ascot Business Park is a joint venture between Salmon Harvester and Raspin Properties for whom Wadham & Isherwood acted in the letting. Further information can be obtained at www.ascotbusinesspark.com
