Geoff Reeve of Wadham & Isherwood Farnham has successfully concluded a complicated and delicate negotiation on behalf of the freeholder of the former home of Vienna Restaurant. The sale of the freehold interest, linked in with an agreement to relocate the long established restaurant, has been agreed to Hedgehunter Farnham who are currently undertaking a number of other projects in Farnham town centre.
As part and parcel of the overall deal and although not directly involved in the acquisition, Wadham & Isherwood provided advice on the relocation to the Chequers at Well this move being facilitated as a result of the premium that was paid to the Vienna Restaurant to vacate.
Hedgehunter Farnham intend to substantially refurbish the ground floor to provide retail accommodation whilst converting the upper floors and rear accommodation to quality residential for which planning will be sought.
It is expected that the works will start in September and on completion a retail unit providing in excess of 650 sq.ft. with basement will be available on the basis of a new lease to be marketed by Wadham & Isherwood Farnham and CWM of London. Two quality 2-bedroom residential units will also be created each of which having patio gardens.
